Today’s discipleship challenge

  • Do something that you really enjoy doing today, perhaps it’s going for a walk, going to a movie, spending time with loved ones. After you do this, stop and think about how much God must love you to allow you to enjoy this activity.  Share your thoughts with your group or with someone you trust.

Today’s Prayer

O Lord God, You led Your people through the wilderness and brought them to the promised land. Guide us now, so that, following Your Son, we may walk safely through the wilderness of this world toward the life You alone can give, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Amen.

Psalm 27 spoke to me when I read it this morning. And as I reflected on it again tonight, it spoke to me again.

The second part of verse 6 made me smile. I constantly sing hymns to the Lord. Verse 7 gave me comfort. I know our God is gracious and would hear me and answer me. I went and got my notes from bible study to see what I had written down. I had underlined verse 7 then…just as it had popped out to me when I read it today! Coincidence? I don’t think so.
